COVID-19 / SARS-CoV-2 Influenza A Influenza B RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) Parainfluenza 1-3 Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV) Adenovirus (ADV) Mycoplasma pneumoniae

Description

9 respiratory pathogens – 1 swab – result in 10–30 minutes. The Dvol 9-in-1 multiplex antigen test covers the full spectrum of common respiratory pathogens: from SARS-CoV-2, Influenza A/B and RSV to Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza and hMPV. A professional point-of-care test for rapid differential diagnostics in clinical settings.

Why choose this 9-in-1 multiplex rapid test?

  • 9 pathogens in one test – the most comprehensive respiratory antigen panel available
  • Includes Mycoplasma (MP) – detects Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a common cause of atypical pneumonia, especially in children and young adults
  • Parainfluenza type 1/3 & type 2 + hMPV – pathogens that standard 5-in-1 tests miss
  • Results in 10–30 minutes – rapid triage without laboratory infrastructure
  • One swab for all 9 pathogens – more comfortable for patients, more efficient for clinics
  • Validated against RT-PCR – high sensitivity and specificity for every single pathogen
  • CE-certified – IVD medical device for professional use

9 pathogens detected

Pathogen Clinical relevance
SARS-CoV-2 COVID-19
Influenza A Seasonal flu (incl. H1N1, H3N2)
Influenza B Seasonal flu
RSV Respiratory syncytial virus – leading cause of bronchiolitis in infants
Adenovirus (ADV) Respiratory infections, pharyngitis, conjunctivitis
Mycoplasma pneumoniae (MP) Atypical pneumonia – common in children and young adults
Parainfluenza type 1/3 (PIV 1/3) Croup, bronchitis, pneumonia – especially in young children
Parainfluenza type 2 (PIV 2) Croup, respiratory infections
Human metapneumovirus (hMPV) Bronchiolitis, pneumonia – clinically similar to RSV

When is a 9-in-1 test the right choice?

Standard combo tests only cover COVID, flu, RSV and sometimes adenovirus. In many cases – especially in children, elderly patients or those with atypical presentations – Mycoplasma, Parainfluenza or hMPV are the actual cause. The 9-in-1 multiplex test closes this diagnostic gap and enables targeted treatment decisions directly at the point of care.

Test procedure

  1. Collect the sample – carefully insert the swab 1.5–2 cm into one nostril, rotate against the nasal wall 5 times for approximately 15 seconds. Repeat for the other nostril.
  2. Extract the sample – insert the swab into the extraction tube with buffer solution, press the tip against the inner wall, shake the tube 10 times.
  3. Attach the cap – press the dropper cap firmly onto the tube.
  4. Run the test – apply 2 drops of the sample solution into each specimen well.
  5. Read the result – read between 10 and 30 minutes. Do not interpret after 30 minutes.

Reading results

The test device features four observation windows, each with dedicated test lines:

Window Test lines Pathogens
CoV & RV CoV, RSV SARS-CoV-2, RSV
MP & ADV & hMPV MP, ADV, hMPV Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Adenovirus, Human Metapneumovirus
FLU A & B FluA, FluB Influenza A, Influenza B
PIV 1 & 2 PIV 1/3, PIV 2 Parainfluenza type 1/3, Parainfluenza type 2

Each window contains a control line (C). A colored test line in addition to the control line indicates a positive result. No control line = invalid, repeat test.

Note: Even faint test lines should be considered positive. Co-infections with multiple pathogens are reliably displayed.

Who is the 9-in-1 multiplex test for?

  • General practitioners & pediatricians – comprehensive differential diagnostics for respiratory infections at the point of care, without lab orders.
  • Emergency departments & hospitals – rapid triage for inpatient admissions with respiratory symptoms.
  • Pediatric wards – Mycoplasma, PIV and hMPV are particularly common and clinically relevant in children.
  • Care facilities – early identification of outbreaks with an extended pathogen panel.
  • Pharmacies with testing services – differentiate from competitors with the most comprehensive rapid test panel. Volume discounts available.

Important information

  • For professional use only. Not for self-testing. Must be performed by healthcare professionals.
  • Not a substitute for molecular diagnostics (PCR). The test provides qualitative antigen detection.
  • Use a separate test kit for each specimen. Do not mix samples from different patients.
  • Use the test device within 30 minutes of opening the foil pouch.
  • A negative result does not rule out infection, particularly with low viral loads.
  • Positive results should be confirmed by PCR when clinically indicated.

Frequently asked questions

What can the 9-in-1 test do that a 5-in-1 combo test cannot?

Standard 5-in-1 tests detect COVID-19, Influenza A/B, RSV and Adenovirus. The 9-in-1 multiplex test additionally covers Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Parainfluenza types 1/3 and 2, and hMPV. These pathogens frequently cause atypical pneumonia and croup but are missed by conventional rapid tests.

Which patients benefit most from the extended panel?

Particularly children (Mycoplasma, PIV and hMPV are common), elderly patients, immunocompromised individuals, and patients with atypical symptoms where a 5-in-1 test returns negative.

Is the test available for self-testing?

No. The 9-in-1 multiplex test is exclusively approved for professional use by healthcare professionals.

What is the Dvot 9in1 Multiplex Respiratory Test?
The Dvot 9in1 Multiplex Test is a CE-certified lateral flow immunoassay that simultaneously detects nine respiratory pathogens from a single nasal or nasopharyngeal swab: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, Parainfluenza 1-3, Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV), Adenovirus, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Designed exclusively for professional use in clinics, practices, and laboratories.
How does the Dvot multiplex test work?
Collect a nasal or nasopharyngeal swab using the sterile swab provided. Insert the swab into the pre-filled extraction buffer and rotate vigorously to release the sample. Apply the recommended number of drops to the sample well on the test cassette. After the specified incubation time, read the results: the control line (C) must appear for a valid test, and any visible test line indicates a positive result for that specific pathogen.
Which pathogens does the Dvot 9in1 test detect?
The test covers nine clinically relevant respiratory pathogens: SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19), Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus), Parainfluenza Virus Types 1, 2, and 3, Human Metapneumovirus (hMPV), Adenovirus, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae. This broad panel enables comprehensive differential diagnosis of acute respiratory infections.
Where can I buy the Dvot 9in1 test?
You can purchase the Dvot 9in1 Multiplex Respiratory Test directly at parahealth.de. We offer volume discounts for larger orders and free shipping on orders over 100 EUR. Orders are typically dispatched within 1-2 business days from our Berlin warehouse.
Who can use this test?

It is intended for use in medical practices, clinics, emergency departments, laboratories, nursing homes, and occupational health services. This test is not intended for self-testing or home use.
What is included in the Dvot test kit?
Each Dvot 9in1 test kit contains: 1 individually sealed multiplex test cassette with result windows for all nine pathogens, 1 sterile swab for sample collection, 1 pre-filled extraction buffer tube, and 1 detailed instructions for use (IFU). No additional reagents or laboratory equipment are required.
